Venezuelan President registers his candidacy for April elections
(VOVWORLD) -Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro on Tuesday registered his official candidacy for the presidential election on April 22.

In submitting his registration to the National Election Committee (CNE), Maduro also presented his Plan for the Nation 2019-2025, which he said had been consulted on by over 3.5 million Venezuelans. Maduro's candidacy is supported by the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and several other leftist parties.
The election has been moved up to April 22, and Maduro is quite likely to win, as most of the opposition are refusing to take part in the election.
