Venezuelan President will not attend Summit of the Americas
(VOVWORLD) - Venezuela will not be attending the Summit of the Americas in Lima, Peru, this week, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said on Tuesday.

Maduro said earlier that he might skip the summit, which is no longer a foreign relations priority for Venezuela. Maduro called the regional meeting "a waste of time" and accused its agenda of not including the interests of the people and the region.
Venezuela is carrying out procedures to quit the Washington-based Organization of American States, which hosts the Summit of the Americas every 2 years.
