At a meeting with the staff of the Vietnam Consulate General In Luang Prabang and overseas Vietnamese the same day, Ms Thinh highlighted the Party and State’s attention to the interests and the life of overseas Vietnamese, including those in Laos and Luang Prabang. She urged them to uphold national unity and contribute to bilateral ties between Vietnam and Laos. The Vice President called on Vietnamese enterprises to increase investment in Laos. To mark the occasion, Ms. Thinh presented gifts of the National Fund for Vietnamese Children to outstanding overseas Vietnamese children in Luang Prabang and northern Laos.
