Vietnam, Algeria mark 55 years of diplomatic ties
(VOVWORLD) -The Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria on Sunday held an event marking the 55th anniversary of Vietnam-Algeria diplomatic ties (October 28).

Activities included introducing a special publication on Vietnam-Algeria diplomatic relations, screening the film “Fleur de Lotus” by Algerian director, which is about a beautiful love story between a Vietnamese woman and an Algerian soldier during the wartime in Vietnam, and a seminar on bilateral cooperation. Two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Algeria is predicted to reach 300 million USD this year. The two countries have set a target of 1 billion USD in bilateral trade by 2020.
