National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said the relic reflects the solidarity between Vietnam and Laos in their struggle for national defense: “The sacred and special relations between Vietnam and Laos have been illustrated in a poem by President Ho Chi Minh where he compared the ties as deeper than the Mekong River. President Cayson Phonvihan also praised relations and the comprehensive alliance as unprecedented in world revolutionary history.”

Laotian National Assembly Speaker Pany Yathotu hoped that the relic will educate younger generations about the glorious history of the fighting alliance.
