Vietnam attaches importance to developing comprehensive strategic partnership with China

(VOVworld) – Vietnam is always consistent with its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification and multilateralization of external relations and attaches importance to developing comprehensive strategic partnership with China.

At a meeting with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday in Beijing, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked the Premier to effectively implement agreements signed between leaders of the two countries and promote cooperation fields and mechanisms. He also asked China to create favorable conditions for economic development in border areas, control differences on maritime issues and maintain peace and stability in the East Sea.

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said the Chinese Party and government is always consistent to the motto of friendly neighborliness and comprehensive cooperation, with Vietnam and wish to maintain exchanges and high-level contacts between the two countries. He said China is ready to work with Vietnam to resolve differences and promote bilateral cooperation to contribute to peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
