(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam supports closer cooperation between ASEAN and India, said Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Phan Tam at the ASEAN-India Connectivity Summit (AICS) in New Delhi on Monday.

Tam said India is an important dialogue partner of ASEAN and that India is working closely with ASEAN on joint projects in several areas. He said he believes the summit is a good opportunity for ASEAN and India to exchange viewpoints and raise their strategic partnership to a new height.
The 2-day summit will discuss ASEAN’s connectivity, sustainable aviation, maritime, and energy infrastructure, and funding for infrastructure.
