PM Phuc said he expects to meet with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull on the sidelines of the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week in Da Nang and hopes that the talks will foster better relations between the two countries. He called on both sides to speed up trade and economic cooperation as bilateral trade revenue currently stands at 5 billion USD, which is well below the potential.

Mr. Chitick said Australia is always ready to promote multilateral cooperation in economics and a free and open environment, adding that Australia’s 15 most successful enterprises will attend the APEC CEO Summit in Da Nang. The Ambassador pledged to work to bolster trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
