Vietnam boosts cooperative ties with Belgium, EU

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s upcoming tour to Belgium and the European Union (EU) marks important milestones in Vietnam-Belgium relations and the Vietnam-EU Comprehensive Partnership and Cooperation, a Vietnamese diplomat says.

In an interview with the Vietnam News Agency in Brussels. Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium and head of the Vietnamese Mission to the EU Vu Anh Quang said Vietnam attaches special importance to the role of ASEM. He said PM Phuc will deliver a speech at the Asia-Europe Meeting's first session highlighting proposals to strengthen Asia-Europe cooperation. The PM will then meet with individual leaders to boost bilateral relations.

PM Phuc will hold talks with President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and meet European Parliament President Antonio Tajani, and Chairperson of the European Parliament's Committee on International Trade Bernd Lange.
