(VOVworld)- The 48^th session of the Directors’ Council of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center convened in Hanoi on Monday.

In his address, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Vu Van Tam called on fisheries organizations in the region to protect fishermen in line with maritime law: “Vietnam has promoted dialogues with other countries in the region to exchange information and address incidents relating to fishing grounds. We need to ensure the safety of fishermen and fishing vessels in the spirit of cooperation, friendship and humanity. We need to set up hotlines”.
