(VOVworld) – Vietnam Fatherland Front’s President Nguyen Thien Nhan has urged Switzerland to support Vietnam’s developing a qualified educational system, particularly in combining vocational training, science, and technology at universities and research institutes.

Nhan made the call at a reception in Hanoi on Monday for newly-appointed Swiss Ambassador Beatrice Maser Mallor. He said he hopes both countries will strengthen cooperation in trade and investment focusing on finance, banking, insurance, high-tech, and chemicals.

Ambassador Beatrice insisted on the fine development of the Swiss-Vietnamese relations, adding that Switzerland continues to support early finalization of a free trade agreement between Vietnam and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA).
