Vietnam, Canada agree to boost bilateral cooperation

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh met Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland within the framework of the 50th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Manila on Sunday.

The two agreed to boost bilateral cooperation, and Freeland said Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is looking forward to attending the APEC high-level meeting in Da Nang in November. Minh urged Canada to continue helping Vietnam cope with non-traditional security challenges like climate change and environmental issues.
