(VOVworld) - The opening ceremony of an exchange program titled “Vietnam days in Japan” took place in Tokyo, Japan on Thursday. This is the biggest event in a series of activities celebrating 40 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Japan. Addressing the event, Vietnamese Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh said that after 40 years of diplomatic relations, bilateral cooperation has developed in many aspects, and the two countries have become strategic partners for peace and prosperity in Asia. He also expressed his belief that this strategic partnership will continue to develop comprehensively. Activities to boost economic cooperation and promote culture will also be held during “Vietnam days in Japan” from September 12 – 22 in 5 big cities in Japan.
