Vietnam expects stronger ties with Japan’s Fukuoka prefecture

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said he hopes Japan’s Fuokuoka prefecture will strengthen cooperative ties with Vietnam’s localities.

Speaking at a Wednesday reception for Fukuoka’s Governor Hiroshi Ogawa in Hanoi, Mr. Phuc called for more cooperation in fields of both sides’ strength and increased cultural, tourism, and people exchanges. Ogawa said his trip to Vietnam marks the 10th anniversary of ties with Hanoi. Both localities have organized exchange activities in environmental and youth cooperation, and will include agriculture in a new collaborative agreement, Ogawa said, adding that Fukuoka hopes to receive more support from Vietnam’s government.
