Mavin Group, a joint venture of Australia and Vietnam, and Japanese-invested Sojitz Vietnam announced the export success yesterday. The pork shipment in late May, made in coordination with Sojitz Vietnam, is considered a success of the animal farming sector because this is the first time a company in Vietnam has satisfied another country’s technical and quality requirements to export pork.

It is an important channel to bring agricultural products, especially animal products, of Vietnam to global markets. Vietnam exported the first batch of chicken to Japan in 2017, and Japan has permitted the Vietnamese chicken exporter to expand production and shipment to this market.

Vietnam has also exported suckling pig products to Hong Kong (China), Malaysia and some other markets.
