(VOVworld) - The first deputy level defence policy dialogue between Vietnam and Italy took place in Hanoi on Wednesday.

The Vietnamese delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Defense Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh and the Italian delegation was headed by Deputy Defense Minister Domenico Rossi.
The two sides discussed measures to enhance cooperation in addressing the consequences of war, training human resources, participating in UN peace-keeping activities; and collaborating in the defense industry. They agreed to set up a joint taskforce to realize commitments made during the dialogue.
