Vietnam, Japan seek new areas of labor cooperation

(VOVworld) - Vietnam plans to boost cooperation in skilled labor and health care privatization, which is a good opportunity for Japanese firms, said Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung at a meeting with representatives from more than 100 Japanese trade unions in Tokyo on Thursday.

The Minister said Vietnam and Japan are enjoying favorable conditions for labor cooperation because Vietnam is experiencing a “golden population” period – more than 60 percent of its population are of working age. The Japanese representatives offered to provide more training to Vietnamese guest workers in Japan.
