Vietnam, Lithuania pledge to reinforce ties

(VOVWORLD) -Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh affirmed Vietnam’s willingness to connect Lithuana with ASEAN markets during her working session with Lithuanian Prime Minister Saulius Skevernelis on Monday.

Thinh urged for closer trade cooperation between Vietnam and Lithuana and asked Lithuania to create favourable conditions for Vietnamese businesses. PM Skevernelis said the Lithuanian government highly appreciates cooperation with Vietnam and wants to foster cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and cooperation in tourism, education, and training with Vietnam. Both leaders promised to prioritize cooperation in economics, trade, and investment, implement talks and legal frameworks, and support each other in multi-lateral forums, including the UN, UNESCO, and ASEM.

The same day, Vice President Thinh attended a Vietnam-Lithuana business round table, and met with the Vietnamese community in Lithuana.
