He suggested American businesses to seek opportunities in Vietnam to take advantage of the country’s global integration. “Vietnam has a lot of good conditions and advantages compared with regional countries. More importantly, the Vietnamese government has strived to improve its investment environment, to speed up administrative procedures to reduce the cost and time for investors, and to publicize institutions to ensure long-term stability. Vietnam’s political stability, geographic position, human resources, and trade agreements with many countries will offer numerous opportunities for foreign investors.”

American businesses appreciate Vietnam’s reform and potential economic cooperation between the two countries. Marc Mealy, Vice President of the US-ASEAN Business Council, expressed his optimism on bilateral investment, saying Vietnam is a large market with a young population, and the Vietnamese government’s reforms will attractive American businesses. The US companies are running about 820 projects in Vietnam.
