Vietnam, Malaysia target trade revenue at USD15 billion

At the meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad on Thursday on the sideline of the 33rd ASEAN Summit and related meetings in Singapore, Mr. Phuc asked Malaysia to support Vietnamese businesses to entering its food market and enhancing energy and maritime cooperation.

He expressed the need for Vietnam and Malaysia to support each other’s views and strengthen ASEAN’s central role regarding the East Sea issues in line with international norms.

The Malaysian Prime Minister agreed to increase the cooperation of each delegation with its counterpart, and to support the production of mutually beneficial staple commodities.
