Vietnam marks War Invalids and Martyrs Day

(VOVWORLD) - Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh on Friday received talented war invalids and disabled people on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27.

Ms. Thinh expressed her hope that the now-outstanding businessmen will continue to be role models of patriotism and contribute further to the nation.

The same day, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man visited a sanatorium for war invalids and revolutionary contributors in Ha Nam province. Mr. Man said: “The Vietnam Fatherland Front branch in Ha Nam needs to continue raising gratitude fund to support families of revolutionary contributors. Patients at the sanatorium should be provided with the best care”.

An exhibition, entitled “70 years of gratitude”, will open next Tuesday at the Vietnam Culture and Art Exhibition Center. The event will include a series of showcases, including those on President Ho Chi Minh, policy beneficiaries, the Gratitude movement, the People’s Police, and an exhibition on Thai Nguyen province, the birthplace of  the War Invalids and Martyrs Day.
