The event, themed “Cyber security in the age of digital transformation”, included 3 seminars on Vietnam’s security situation, international experiences, and ways to improve cyber security. On the sidelines were 2 sessions, one on cyber security management and data center protection, and one on prevention of malware, backdoor attacks, and information breaches. Minister Nguyen Manh Hung told the Summit: “In 2019, Vietnam will announce its digital transformation strategy to build a digital economy and digital society. Cyber security is a fundamental factor, which creates a safe environment for the government, businesses, and citizens when using digital technology and digital transactions.  Vietnam will create cyber security products and services that meet international standards to ensure security for governmental agencies and key national infrastructure facilities as well as the ability to recover after an attack.”

The same week, the Information Security Department of the Ministry of Information and Communications published the cyber security rankings of governmental agencies in 2018 and introduced an anti-cyber attack coalition. A cyber security exhibition drew 26 domestic and foreign enterprises.
