Vietnam - Netherlands’ priority partner

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte will pay an official visit to Vietnam from April 9 to 11 at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. 

Speaking to reporters head of the visit, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Netherlands Ngo Thi Hoa said the visit is an opportunity for the two countries’ leaders to find ways to strengthen bilateral political and diplomatic ties and trade cooperation, deepen ongoing cooperation frameworks, and promote the Strategic Partnership in Climate Change Response, Sustainable Agriculture and Water Management, and Food Security.

The visit also aims at expanding bilateral cooperation in high tech, economic, transportation, aviation, energy, and smart city. During the visit, the two Prime Ministers are expected to announce to upgrade the Vietnam-Netherlands ties to Comprehensive Partnership. Meetings will be held and several agreements on bilateral cooperation will be signed during the visit.
