Vietnam pays tribute to war invalids, martyrs

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on Monday presented certificates of merits to relatives of 72 martyrs in the Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long.

20 charity houses were also given to people who rendered services to the revolution on the occasion of Vietnam’s War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, July 27. Ms. Ngan said the Party, State and people will forever remember the contributions of veteran revolutionaries, fallen soldiers, war invalids and others to national construction and defense.

“Activities to pay gratitude have been expanded nationwide to tribute those who sacrifice their lives to the nation,” she noted.
