(VOVworld)- The Vietnam Peace Committee held its year-end meeting on Thursday to review its performance in 2016 and set out tasks for 2017.

In his address, National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu praised the Committee’s active role in multilateral people’s forums and regional and global networks. Regarding the tasks for 2017, Luu asked the Committee to strengthen its cooperation with traditional partners and expand cooperation with others, participate responsibly in the activities of the World Peace Council, effectively participate in people’s forums, increase communications to raise public awareness about peace and related issues, and focus more on research for peace and human rights.
