Vietnam pledges favorable conditions for foreign investors

(VOVworld) – Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Phung Quoc Hien told Michael Michalack, former US Ambassador to Vietnam and Vice President of the US-ASEAN Business Council, that Vietnam is ready to create favorable conditions for foreign investors.

At a reception in Hanoi on Thursday, Mr. Hien said American business people who invest and do business in Vietnam need to pay more attention to environmental protection, social responsibility, and cooperation with Vietnam in human resource training and technological transfer for sustainable development.

Mr. Michalak said his visit aims boost cooperation and exchange programs with Vietnam for mutual understanding and trust. He called on Vietnam to strengthen administrative reform and tax policy to facilitate investment and business activities of the US-ASEAN business community.
