Vietnam promotes cinema industry at Cannes Film Festival

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam will organize a number of activities to promote both its cinema industry and tourism at the 70th Cannes Film Festival which will begin in France on Wednesday.

With the theme “Vietnam – a new destination for blockbusters”, photos of Trang An-Tam Coc-Bich Dong, Ha Long Bay, and Son Doong Cave will be showcased at the Festival. An event called “Vietnam Night” will be held on Saturday to promote new Vietnamese films. The Department of Cinematography of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the France National Center of Cinematography and Moving Images will also announce a cooperative agreement. Three Vietnamese films to be screened at the Festival include Sloth Monkey Never Cries, Taste, and The Third Wife.
