Speaking at the workshop, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan said that the proposal to develop a learning society needs to be fine-tuned to raise people’s awareness on the importance of lifelong learning:“Lifelong learning must address key issues such as how to become a good citizen, to be employed and contribute to happiness and social advancement. Community based educational centers should be consulted by the Ministry of Education and Training to collect further comments on the proposal.”

The proposal aims to create conditions for people to learn any where, at any age depending on the individuals’ needs.
