Vietnam ready to share national development experience with DPRK: Deputy PM

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam pledges to working with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to promote bilateral cooperation, said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh at a meeting in Pyongyang with DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho.

Mr. Minh, who is on an official visit to DPRK from Tuesday to Thursday, said Vietnam is ready to share its experience in national construction, socio-economic development, and international integration with the DPRK. The two men briefed each other on the socio-economic developments in their country, promised to continue coordinating at international forums like the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement, and the ASEAN Regional Forum, as well as international conferences and political party forums. The two leaders agreed to exchange viewpoints on issues of mutual concern such as the maintenance of peace and stability in the region.

Deputy PM Minh also held talks with Ri Su Yong, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party and head of its International Department. He affirmed that Vietnam wants to maintain and promote its traditional friendship with the DPRK based on the consistent foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation and development, diversification and multilateralization of international relations, being friends and reliable partners and responsible members of the international community.
