Vietnam records growing trade surplus with Canada

(VOVworld)-Vietnam enjoyed a trade surplus of more than 3 billion USD with Canada as of the end of last November, an increase of 24 percent against 2015, according to Statistics Canada. In the period, two-way trade value reached 3.8 billion USD.

According to Hoang Anh Dung, Vietnam's trade counsellor in Canada, Vietnam leads ASEAN nations in export value to Canada. Canada imported mainly electronic products and accessories, footwear, sportswear and children toys from Vietnam. Among Vietnam’s export goods, mobile phone recorded the highest increase of 68 percent to more than 820 million USD.
