The Vietnam Pepper Association reported that 95% of Vietnam’s pepper output is shipped to 80 countries and territories around the world. Only 5% is consumed domestically. 15 Vietnamese businesses are world leaders in pepper exports, accounting for more than 50% of the total market share. The US is Vietnam’s largest pepper consumer, followed by Germany and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Pepper companies are advised to study market trends overseas to maintain the growth rate and Vietnam’s top position in the global pepper market.
