Vietnam represents Francophonie countries at Int’l Francophonie Day 2015

(VOVworld) – Vietnam is representing Francophonie countries at cultural and communications activities currently being held in Mozambique, as observer to the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF). The week-long event to celebrate the International Francophonie Day 2015 opened on Sunday.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Van Trung highlighted the Francophonie community’s contributions to preserving linguistic and cultural diversity, promoting South-South cooperation, and tackling global challenges such as epidemics, natural disasters, and environmental pollution.

During the Francophonie week in Mozambique, the Vietnamese Embassy is showcasing photos in praise of Vietnam’s beautiful landscape and people. The exhibition is the first in a series of activities to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Mozambique diplomatic ties.
