(VOVworld)- The Vietnam Environmental Administration and the US Embassy held a campaign to call for an end to water pollution in response to Earth Day on April 22. Hundreds of volunteers joined hands to clean up the environment, exchange wastes for green trees and bio-degradable bags at the campaign site in Hanoi’s Reunification Park.  

The event aimed to raise public awareness on environmental protection at their community. The April 22 date was designated as International Mother Earth Day by the United Nations in 2009 and attracted million of respondents annually.
