Vietnam, Russia to enhance strategic cooperative partnership

(VOVworld) – A Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung attended the 19th meeting of the Vietnam - Russia Intergovernmental Committee in Saint-Petersburg on Wednesday.

At a Tuesday meeting with Mayor of Saint-Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko, Deputy PM Dung said Vietnam and Russia need to accelerate the implementation of existing commitments and promote new cooperation schemes. He added that the Vietnamese government will create favorable conditions for Russian investors to operate in Vietnam. He urged the mayor to help Vietnamese goods and service suppliers make inroads into Russia’s second largest city.

Mayor Poltavchenko said Saint-Petersburg welcomes Vietnam’s investment projects. He promised to arrange meetings between representatives of Vietnamese firms and city retailers to foster new partnerships.
