(VOVworld)- The Vietnam Seaports Association opened its annual conference in Ha Long City on Thursday with more than 400 participants.

The association now has over 60 members representing domestic seaports. Their yearly loading capacity last year was 230 million tons. Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Cong praised the association’s role in fostering connectivity between businesses operating in maritime logistics. The association has urged the government to help strengthen inter-sectoral cooperation to boost the national maritime economy.
