Under the President’s decision, two officers will be sent to South Sudan as military observers and the remainders will go to the Central African Republic. The officers have also been assigned to work with the UN mission to assist the deployment of Vietnam’s level-2 field hospital in South Sudan next month.  Vietnam has sent 20 officers to work at the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic and the UN Mission in South Sudan in the past four years since joining UN peacekeeping operations.
