He said Vietnam has been good at management in recent years when its inflation has been stabilized and the economy has grown at more than 5%. Tan noted the Vietnamese government has issued many incentives to attract more foreign investment, adding that Vietnam will continue the current policies, create a friendlier environment to businesses, and ensure efficient law enforcement.

Associate Professor Eugene Tan of the Singapore Management University has acknowledged that bilateral ties between Vietnam and Singapore have developed not only in politics, and economics, but also legal and defense cooperation, people-to-people exchanges, and education.
