Vietnam, South Korea audit agencies increase cooperation

(VOVWORLD) - Ho Duc Phoc, Chairman of the Asian Organisation for Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) and Auditor General of the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV), held talks on Thursday with Choe Jeahyoung, ASOSAI Secretary General and Chairman of South Korea’s Board of Audit and Inspection.

Mr. Phoc said Vietnam is building an IT development strategy until 2030 and vision to 2040. It wants to enhance cooperation with the South Korean audit sector in this field. “We want to cooperate in IT and environmental auditing because South Korea has strength in these fields. Vietnam is accelerating IT application and IT auditing. We want to send auditors to South Korea for training or invite South Korean experts to Vietnam.”

Mr. Choe appreciated Vietnam’s organization of ASOSAI 14. He said South Korea will send experts to Vietnam to engage in capacity building and auditing sectors in which Vietnam needs help.
