Vietnam, South Korea boost cooperation in food processing

(VOVworld) – Investment and the business environment of Vietnam’s food and beverage industry was highlighted at a conference held in Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday, to help the two countries’ businesses find new partners. Leaders of Vietnam’s An Giang and Long An province introduced the favorable investment policies and potential of Vietnam’s food industry and called for investment in specific projects in their localities.

Ta Hoang Linh of the Ministry of Industry and Trade suggested South Korean businesses combine Vietnam’s abundant resources and Korea’s technologies to gain consumers in Vietnam and countries with which has signed free trade agreements.    

At the conference, Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy signed a Memorandum of Understanding on trade promotion to accelerate implementation of the bilateral FTA.
