Vietnam, Spain urged to step up multi-dimensional ties

(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has urged Vietnam and Spain step up their relations across the board, especially in politics, the economy, trade, and investment.

At a meeting with Spain’s Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Ignacio Ybañez Rubio in Hanoi on Tuesday, Deputy PM Minh said the Vietnamese Government will provide all possible conditions for Spanish business people to operate successfully in Vietnam. He asked the two foreign ministries to work closely for the successful organization of celebrations of the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Spain diplomatic ties in 2017, thus bringing their strategic partnership to the next level.

Mr. Ignacio Ybañez Rubio said Vietnam is one of Spain’s important partners in the region and Spain is eager to increase its presence in Vietnam through new agreements and cooperative projects. He urged the two countries to continue implementing cooperation mechanisms and coordinating in organizing events to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
