(VOVworld) – Vietnam aims to become a modern industrial country, strongly defend its national independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, and improve national status and prestige internationally by 2030.

Under Vietnam’s strategy for international integration to 2020 and a vision to 2030 aims to improve national power, Vietnam intends to catch up with the development level of ASEAN-6 (Bruinei, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore) by 2020 and to become one of top ASEAN countries with particular strengths by 2030. Vietnam sets to become a key member in ASEAN’s defense and security cooperation mechanism. Vietnam will take advantage of international resources to fulfill its national target programs on employment and social security.

Vietnam will implement coordinated measures including reforming the institution, administration, financial and monetary policies in line with the integration requirement and improving business environment to attract foreign investment.

Vietnam will enhance its relations with countries and partners, actively participate in multilateral mechanisms, and integrate international integration activities in national development programs on socio-economy, culture, labor, healthcare, education, and science and technology.
