Vietnam supports the "End to Poverty" Initiative and ILO’s 2030 Agenda

(VOVworld) - Vietnam supports the End to Poverty Initiative and the 2030 Agenda of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and millennium initiatives to welcome the 100th founding anniversary of the ILO.

Addressing the 105th International Labor Conference (ILC), which took place from June 1-13 in Geneva, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) Pham Minh Huan emphasized sustainable employment in global supply chains, which was an issue discussed at the event.

In the framework of the event, Vietnamese representatives held bilateral meetings with ILO officials and delegations from Switzerland, Indonesia, the US and Canada to look for specific measures to implement bilateral agreements signed between Vietnam and these countries.

The International Labor Conference is held annually with the participation of governments, organizations of employees and employers from 186 member countries.
