In a meeting with a delegation from APICTA led by Chairman Stan Singh, Minister Tuan said that hosting the event will allow Vietnam to popularize its IT and communications development, introduce Vietnam’s land, people and economic potential to international friends, and seek cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Tuan asked APICTA to consider increasing the number of awards for products related to building an e-government and smart urban areas. He expressed a wish to expand exchanges with APICTA members on building an e-government.

The APICTA is a non-profit NGO with 16 members. The annual APICTA awards honor outstanding IT innovations and solutions and promote IT and telecommunications applications and markets in the Asia-Pacific region. The APICTA 2018 awards will be held in China’s Guangzhou province in October.
