(VOVworld) - President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan said the search and repatriation of martyr remains is an important task of the party, people, and soldiers which shows the national tradition of remembering the source of the water we drink. Nhan who is also Head of the National Steering Board for Search and Repatriation of Martyr Remains urged the board to review its mode of organization and take effective measures to repatriate 10,000 remains by 2015, collect 60% of the remains of soldiers having information by 2020 and after that. Nhan said: “We have assigned 20 repatriation teams to work mainly in Laos and Cambodia who are also ready to undertake tasks in the Vietnam’s border areas. We ask localities to consider organizing temporary repatriation teams and collaborate with the Ministry of Defense to jointly search for the soldier remains”.
