(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s Under-19 squad secured a ticket in the semi-finals of the Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) U19 Championship, thereby qualifying for FIFA’s U20 World Cup 2017 for the first time in history.

The team beat Bahrain 1-0 in the AFC quarter-finals in Manama City on Sunday. The team to compete with Vietnam’s U19’s in the semi-final on October 27 will be known after the quarterfinal between U19 Japan and U19 Tajikistan on Monday.
