Vietnam wants more investment from European Free Trade Area businesses

(VOVworld) – In Hanoi on Wednesday, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Phung Quoc Hien said members of the European Free Trade Area (EFTA) should encourage greater investment in Vietnam at a reception for parliamentarians from EFTA nations, led by Vice President of the Norwegian parliament Svein Roald Hansler.

Hien urged an early conclusion of negotiations on a free trade agreement between Vietnam and the EFTA, and said EFTA members should push forward negotiations with due consideration for the core interests of both sides.

The visiting parliamentarians said they hope EFTA and Vietnam will develop a more comprehensive partnership to promote investment and trading of goods and services.
