Mr. Hue said Mitsubishi Motors’ expansion in Vietnam will contribute to Vietnam’s industrialisation strategy within the framework of Vietnam-Japan cooperation. The Deputy PM pledged favorable conditions for Mitsubishi Motors to carry out its projects in Vietnam, in line with international trade rules.

Mr. Shiraji said Vietnam is one of the key production hubs and potential markets of his company in Southeast Asia. He said Mitsubishi Motors is now looking for a location to set up its second factory here. The plant will cost 250 million USD and will build up to 50,000 cars per year.
