“Vietnam welcomes the UN General Assembly’s recent approval of a resolution calling for the lifting of embargo against Cuba. Vietnam holds that the continued embargo against Cuba is inappropriate and needs to be lifted completely, meeting the aspirations and legitimate interests of the Cuban people and contributing to development, peace, and stability in America.”

Spokeswoman Hang also voiced Vietnam’s stance on the US mid-term election results, saying Vietnam wants the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Partnership to develop in a more practical and efficient manner, benefiting the two peoples and contributing to peace and stability in Asia-Pacific and the wider world.
