Vietnam-Angola Intergovernmental Committee discusses future cooperation

(VOVworld) – The Vietnam-Angola Intergovernmental Committee has reviewed cooperation during the 2011-2013 period and discussed cooperation between 2013 to 2015. They were the agenda of the Committee’s 6th session which opened in Hanoi on Wednesday, and was co-chaired by Vietnam’s Minister of Education and Training, Pham Vu Luan, and Angola’s Minister of Higher Education and Science and Technology, Maria Candida Teixeira.

Both sides agreed to create favorable conditions for businesses to seek investment and cooperation opportunities in each country.

Vietnam and Angola will promote tertiary and postgraduate courses, training in the Portuguese language for Vietnamese educationalists in Angola, and increase the number of Vietnamese educationalists for Angola’s needs.

More Vietnamese health workers will also move to work in Angola.

Bilateral cooperation will expand in agriculture, aquaculture, labor, disabilities, and social affairs. In particular, Vietnam and Angola will work closer together in the labor field to build a mechanism for recruiting and managing Vietnamese laborers in Angola.

The 7th session of the Vietnam-Angola Intergovernmental Committee will be held in 2015 in Luanda, Angola.
