(VOVWORLD) -Viet Van, a reporter of Lao Dong (Labour) Newspaper won the Outstanding Achievement award in the still life category of the US’s Photography Master Cup contest for his work entitled The copper tray and two eggs.

The copper tray in the photo was a souvenir Viet’s grandmother presented to his mother during war time. With a jury of recognised experts from various countries such as Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany and the UK, the Master Cup is the industry’s most important photographic event for colour photography.
Nominees vie for 120 awards representing the best work of the year. This is the fifth time Viet Van has won an award of the Master Cup since 2009, with three first prizes and two Honourable Mentions.
Viet Van has won more than 60 international prizes throughout his career, including eight first prizes in France, the UK, the US and Australia.
